My first Christmas cake

This is the first time in my life that i made a christmas cake, i really enjoyed it, there are such happy spices in there, and it is just such a happy cake to make, this is the cake we did at TAFE and i learned so much, it was really fun and something i am looking forward to experimenting with in the future.

I want to perfect a christmas cake but with nuts, cherries and apricots instead of all that fruit, anyone out there have a fabulous nut christmas cake recipe?

Cupcakes In A Jar

I made these for my sister in Laws baby shower, i saw them on Pinterest and thought i had to try them because i think they look Super cute, i loved the look of them on Pinterest an i loved how they turned out here too!!

They are Blue Vanilla sponge with real blueberries dusted with powdered sugar and a passionfruit cream cheese frosting, this is the best tasting flavour combination i have made to date, i am love loving the fruity fresh flavours, YUM.

Any Cup cake lovers out there?

Ombre'

This is The Ombre' Cake i did for my dads birthday, 4 layers of creamy vanilla sponge, separated by strawberry preserve and dulche leche, it was so delicious too delicious cause i ate like SO MUCH!

Ice cream Sundae Cupcakes in a Cone

I Love Love these, they are my favourite ones I've made so far, and a bit of an eye catcher if i do say so myself.

They were made for a little boys birthday and he loved them.

This is the first time i have made a cupcake in a cone, i sampled one and it was quite delicious a little novelty :-)

So My sister in law loves twix, this is the twix creation i did for her, saw it on the web and copied it but love how it turned out, hmm makes me want on now!

Turkish Delight

My Hubby Greg Loves Turkish delight, so i turned his fav into a cupcake for his birthday, i so enjoy creating a cake that someone will love, and he loved these which made me happy.

There is a hidden turkish delight surprise inside the moist chocolate cake too, Gotta love surprises!

I know i certainly do...

Dedas 94th Birthday Cake

We are blessed to still have Gregs granddad still with us at a ripe old age of 94, he is just brilliant, so alive, so with it and a joy to have around.

I had the privilege of making him a cake, and because he is so special i decided to make him a super special rainbow cake, 6 special layers of gorgeous colour, a time consuming but truly rewarding surprise to cut into :-)

And once again my signature rose piping, i love that piping it is so easy but so pretty...

I want to attempt another rainbow cake again because it is just so much fun!

Anyone out there tried one?

Cookies 'n Cream

These are the cookies and cream chocolate cupcakes i did for my uncles 50th Birthday, everyone enjoyed them but personally i think i need to find a yummier, richer more chocolately cupcake mix, thats the only thing i would change.

Starting to get good at doing the rose piping now which is great!

Bella's Beauties

Then i got the awesome opportunity to try a cupcake tower for my gorgeous nieces 1st birthday, that was so much fun, this was my first real "job" and it took me a full 5 hours and 45 minutes to complete, boy was i exhausted after these, but it was so worth it.

These are super vanillary cupcakes with a fresh raspberry filling and bright cream cheese frosting, hmm YUMM

I bought the little fondant flowers for times sake, but did everything else myself.

Brings me so much joy to see people delight in the sugar HIGH!

The Journey begins

So one day i just decided i love to bake, i got a really satisfying feeling from letting my creativity loose with sugar, and then seeing others get joy from looking at and eating my creations...

This is somewhat where the journey began and this is my son Jordan's 2nd birthday cake. As you can tell he is a little car fanatic, i don't know how it started it was a really natural journey into the love of cars, and he can be entertained for AGES playing with his XTRA Large array that he is so blessed to have.

This was a hummingbird cake which if you've never had one is full of pineapple, banana and pecan nuts as well as the usual cakey goodness...

The icing is cream cheese frosting my all time favourite frosting to use because it is SUPER Delicious!!

So here i could enjoy letting loose with colour and Dr Seuss madness and i just love the result.
